UN Family Day 2025 Celebrates Unity and Shared Future at Daystar Academy

17 May 2025

Beijing, 17 May 2025 – The United Nations (UN) in China celebrated UN Family Day 2025 at Daystar Academy in Beijing, bringing together over 500 UN personnel and their families from across 26 UN agencies in China. Held against the backdrop of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, the event served as a reminder of the values that unite the UN Family: solidarity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to peace, development, and human rights.

Building on the momentum of the successful revival of UN Family Day in 2024, this year’s event carried the inspiring theme “Building Our Future Together” in honour of the UN80. The day showcased various interactions, ranging from cultural performances, to moments of celebration, offering a platform for staff and their families to connect beyond professional roles and reaffirm their shared purpose.
